Roof Anchors

UNIPLATE ANCHOR – UNI-01

The uniplate anchor has been designed to fit most metal roof profiles. The uniplate can be fitted with either a fixed eyelet or an energy absorbing swivel eyelet. The swivel eyelet allows the attachment rope to follow you, allowing complete directional force. The eyelet is secured using a separate locking (Nylok) nut.

C&Z PURLIN ANCHOR – C&Z-00

This is the simplest anchor point and our most popular. It has minimal impact on roof aesthetics, while its sophisticated design ensures the safety of the user. Its multiple compression points allow the small unit to have maximum strength.

 

Overview

Designed and manufactured by Anchor Point Safety Pty Ltd, this product features our energy-absorbing component, which increases performance by over 15% and is designed to suit C and Z metal purlins.

C&Z RETRO – TRIMDEK – RET-01

This unit is designed with a combination of stainless steel and aluminium, which gives it both strength and flexibility. The unit is designed to flex and collapse in the event of a fall to reduce the impact to the operator and structure.

Low profile – minimal visual impact for architecture aesthetics


Application

This anchor is best suited to Spandek type roofs of 112mm. It’s not suitable for Kliplok or corrugated roofs.

Waterproofing is achieved by composite flashing and/or Sikaflex construction sealant
Fall arrest anchor for a single operator (12kn) in accordance with Australian Standards 1891 1-4 2009

Testing has been performed by NATA test teams and product developed in conjunction with structural engineers.

Single piece stainless steel unit that is secured to the roof using 7 x 8mm trifold rivets.

RAFTER AND TRUSS – ANCHOR – R&T-01

Designed to clamp onto a rafter or truss, this product ensures that the integrity of the structure is maintained while providing excellent fall protection.

 

Overview

For use on timber frame roofs, this anchor is specially designed to protect the user without compromising the roof strength.


Benefits

Can be bolted directly on to Rafter & Truss.


Application

For use on timber frame roofs.

SURFACE MOUNT ANCHORS – LARGE KLIPLOCK – LSMK-01

This stainless steel construction is designed and manufactured by Anchor Point Safety Pty Ltd. It is specifically designed for strength and to reduce dynamic forces on both operator and structure

FIRST ATTACHMENT LINE - FAL-01

An intermediate anchor that is used to protect the user when dismounting from a ladder ensures that the user is protected at all times, particularly at a moment when secure contact with safety equipment is restricted.

 

Overview

Used as the first point of attachment on a rooftop before leaving a ladder, this line ensures 100% attachment whilst at height. In a case of a fall, it allows for access back to the ladder.

This ensures the user is protected from a fall between dismounting a ladder and attaching to the primary roof anchors.

Designed for all roofs and is essential to maintain complete safety coverage on a roof

Concrete Roofs

ANCHOR INTO CONCRETE – CON-01

The anchor can be mounted into the surface using a chemical mixture or mechanical bolt.
 
Note: All concrete anchors MUST be load tested before operation.

 

Overview

This anchor is suitable for installation into concrete and masonry (core filled). They can be chemically or mechanically fitted however must be load tested as per Australian Standard 1891. 2009. Used as a Fall Arrest anchor and an anchor for Industrial rope access.

Timber Roofs

RAFTER AND TRUSS ANCHOR TEE-01

This product uses a specially engineered mounting unit that’s designed to bend and reduce the impact on the timber frame. This allows for higher limited free fall force than the roof would otherwise be able to handle.

 

Overview

For use on timber frame roofs, this anchor is specially designed to protect the user without compromising the roof strength.

Legal Responsibilities for Owner/Controller of Premises

Who is classified as the controller of the premises?

As per the Code of Practice for the Management and Control of Asbestos in Workplaces [NOHSC:2002(2005)], the “person with control” may be:

  • The owner of the premises
  • A person who has under any contract or lease an obligation to maintain or repair the premises
  • A person who is occupying the premises
  • A person who is able to make decisions about work undertaken at the premises
  • An employer at the premises

Persons with control of premises have a duty of care to:

  • Develop, implement and maintain an asbestos management plan.
  • Investigate the premises for the presence or possible presence of asbestos-containing material
  • Develop and maintain a register of the identified or presumed asbestos-containing material, including details on their locations, accessibility, condition, risk assessments, and control measures.
  • Develop measures to remove the asbestos-containing materials or otherwise to minimize the risks and prevent exposure to asbestos
  • Ensure the control measures are implemented as soon as possible and are maintained as long as the asbestos-containing materials remain in the workplace.
